Supported Operating Systems:

Windows XP, Millennium, 98, 98se, 2000, 2003 and NT 4.0, versions: Home, Professional, Workstation, Server and Advanced Server.

Physical disk space:

· Requires at least 6 Mb. harddisk space. Depending on number of optional components installed, database and backups, required space for about 1000 cases rises up to 16 Mb.
· Local area network servers require additional 2 Mb.

Hardware

· Recommended processor Pentium 133 MHz. or compatible
· Requires 16 Mb. RAM memory (or more if using other applications simultaneously)
· Recomended laser or inkjet printer.

Information security:

· Includes automatic security database backup system, allowing to restore information in case of unfinished database transactions.
· Includes automatic database backup each 3 days. In local area networks, each computer stores local database backup.
· Includes installation repair and error correction, allowing to restore installation files in case of harddisk damage.
· Allows CD-ROM or external drives backups (using third party backup software or BRiRESPA).

Currency:

· Allows simultaneous use of US Dollars, Euros and any other currency.

Software compatibility:

· Contacts compatibles (export and import) with: Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Organizer, Brindys Sicure, Brindys BriFame and vCard (.vcf) ready software, including Netscape Mail and Microsoft Outlook Express
· Export of listings for Microsoft Excel, data source for Microsoft Office documents (mail merging)
· Export of HTML listings (cases and contacts) for web publishing, or intranet/LAN use at the office
· Export RTF listings for Microsoft Word, WordPad, Corel WordPerfect, Sun StarOffice

Access security:

· Can be configured to use any of the following security systems: global passwords (same for all members), Windows security (user login and passwords), your LAN security, or GEDEX's internal users management.
· GEDEX can manage an unlimited number of users (protected with passwords)
· Parallel security system (global passwords) to limit read and write privileges to database and software configuration

Local area networks and intranet:

· Offers support for intranet/LAN, allowing to share all the information, including your contacts, cases and documents.

Evaluation version:

· The free evaluation version has limited number of manageable cases. Can be used and evaluated for an unlimited period of time.

Supported languages:

· English, Spanish, Catalan
· Each user can use GEDEX in a different language
· Number of languages can be easily increased using the translation kit
· Some components already translated into 5 more languages (not the main application)
