Technical specificationsWinRSS can process news in the following formats: RSS 0.9, 0.91, 0.92, 1.0, 2.0, RDF, Atom, and future versions of them.
The following namespaces are also supported: Atom (namespaced version), Geo/ICBM, SY, CC, DC, FOAF and some others.
Supports feed:// and rss:// protocols for direct feed syndication, also, compatibility with other feed readers' typical feed links.
If you used other news aggregators, you can import automatically its feed sources into WinRSS.
Includes automatic software update, using fragmented downloads.
The following Microsoft Windows versions: XP, 2000, NT 4.0, Millennium, 98 and 95, including Home, Professional, Workstation, Server and Advanced Server versions.
For PDA gadgets: Any web-enabled operating system, including Windows CE 2000 and 2002. Note: this feature is currently under development.
